It’s A Morzine Double Bubble In The Mountains This Summer

This summer, holidaymakers can disconnect from the pressures of modern life by escaping to their very own bubble in the mountains. Returning for a second season, Les Bulles des Mines d’Or consists of two unique transparent bubble accommodations, set in the heart of the Morzine Mines in the French Alps.

Operating from May to October, each bubble comes complete with a private terrace, seating area, air conditioning, electricity, wardrobe and large double bed, allowing their occupants to stargaze in privacy and comfort while enjoying a 360° panorama of the mountains. Popular with couples, guests can choose to stay in the Bulle des Hauts-Forts or the Bulle du Lac, the latter of which benefits from its very own jacuzzi.

The Les Bulles des Mines d’Or team offer a variety packages and optional extras, including a full dinner, breakfast and drinks service, featuring charcuterie, local cheeses and regional wines. Visitors can also opt for a massage in their bubble, with an extensive treatment menu available, allowing guests to completely switch off under the night sky.

The bubbles are a short walk away from the Chalet des Bulles, which features all the necessary comforts to ensure a pleasant stay. Here guests have access to VIP shower and toilet facilities as well as a dining area and cosy lounge. Ideally positioned on the outskirts of the Alpine resort of Morzine, a night at Les Bulles des Mines makes for the perfect romantic addition for those holidaying in the nearby village.

Just a stone’s throw from Les Bulles des Mines d’Or, Morzine is set the heart of the Franco-Swiss Portes du Soleil area and is only an hour and a quarter from Geneva Airport. Benefiting from direct flights from London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Bristol and Leeds, the village is the perfect base of UK holidaymakers wanting to get active in the mountains and for those wanting to explore the entire region this summer. Situated at an altitude of over 1,000m, Morzine is one of the most northerly of the French Alpine resorts, enjoying stunning mountain views and a traditional village feel with boutique hotels, independent shops and Old-World wooden architecture.

Although Morzine is less travelled outside of the ski season, it has just as much to offer in the summer with hundreds of hiking and biking trails set against the spectacular Alpine scenery. There are around 380km of marked trails in the area with varying degrees of technical skill required, as well as 15 mapped road cycling itineraries to explore. In addition, holidaymakers can choose from a range of climbing, trekking and fishing excursions or an array of more transformative experiences, like horse-back rides in the mountains or taking to the skies over the Alps in helicopter, light-aircraft, or a hot air balloon. What’s more, thrill-seekers are spoilt for choice in Morzine, with the resort making a great base for anyone wanting to take advantage of the region’s superb canyoning, paragliding, white water rafting and parachuting offerings.
