ISF & FIS Together Closer To The First Edition Of ISF Winter Gymnasiade 2023

The International School sport Federation (ISF) President Laurent Petrynka and ISF Secretary General Hrvoje Custonja visited the International Ski and Snowboard Federation at its Autumn Technical Meetings on 29th of September meeting FIS President Johan Eliasch and FIS Secretary General Michel Vion for the signing of the technical agreement between two federations.

Not only will this cooperation strengthen the winter school sports and events under the organization of the ISF, but it will enrich the experience of the upcoming first edition of the ISF Winter Gymnasiade taking place in February 2023 in Erzurum in Turkey. New sports that have been added to the program include Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding and Cross-Country Skiing.

“The cooperation with the International School Sport Federation provides us a close link to youth and helps us to drive initiatives to bring kids to the snow. It will not only strengthen and grow the skiing and snowboarding community but also foster events that teach important values and life skills. FIS looks forward to leveraging synergies with ISF and offering opportunities for school athletes to compete in winter sports.” said FIS President Johan Eliasch
