Hunter Mountain: Construction Update

With nearly all trail work completed on Hunter North, construction and infrastructure teams have geared up and refocused their attention on the both large and small details of the new expansion.

Throughout the coming weeks, the teams will continue to install critical electrical and communications lines across new terrain. This advanced electrical and infrastructure work will supply our new automated snowguns with power and communications as well as water and air to make the sweet man-made snow we all love for this upcoming winter season.

Speaking of snowguns, the teams have also made significant headway in installing the new snowmaking equipment across the new terrain. Three separate brands of snowmaking equipment are being implemented on Hunter North and provide 100% coverage across new trails. High efficiency snowmaking equipment models being installed on Hunter North include fully automated SMI Super PoleCat Fan Guns, HKD Impulse Towers and Snow Logic’s Rapid Deployment Variable Airflow Nozzles.
