HTI Group Prepares Narvik For 2029 World Ski Championships

At the INTERALPIN trade fair in Innsbruck, the contract for a major order was signed between the Narvikfjellet Allmenn AS ski resort and the companies LEITNER, PRINOTH, and DEMACLENKO. The Norwegian ski resort operator is investing over €53 million in an overall alpine package from the HTI Group for the 2029 Alpine Ski World Championships.

For the 2029 Alpine World Ski Championships, the host city of Narvik is fully relying on the strengths of the HTI Group. The prestigious contract includes the construction of a gondola lift, a chairlift, and three drag lifts, as well as the order of approximately 100 snow guns and 12 snow groomers. The group is also responsible for the accompanying construction work in the ski resort of the 15,000-person town north of the Arctic Circle. This will ensure that the World Championship venue boasts the latest technological advances in four years. While LEITNER ensures safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient transportation, PRINOTH, as the "Official Supplier," supported by its local partner Owren, guarantees perfect slope conditions and digitally supported snow management with its Leitwolf vehicles.

DEMACLENKO is supplying the complete snowmaking infrastructure for the Alpine Ski World Championships. In collaboration with local partner Taubane, the company is implementing, among other things, a pumping station, a pressure boosting system, and a new storage pond. The contract also includes the installation of the entire pipeline network and the supply of the snow guns. Thanks to DEMACLENKO's digital solutions, a networked and perfectly coordinated snowmaking system is being created that guarantees maximum efficiency while conserving resources.

The prestigious contract was signed during the INTERALPIN trade fair in Innsbruck. Chairman Paal Traelvik and Martin Leitner (Vice President of the HTI Group) emphasized the enormous importance of this comprehensive and sustainable investment. "On the one hand, this contract is a success for our entire group. On the other hand, it also demonstrates the strengths of the individual companies, which will now jointly contribute to what we hope will be an unforgettable Ski World Championships. Furthermore, the package creates the long-term basis for a highly modern and safe ski operation after this major event in 2029," said Martin Leitner.
