After an intensive and convincing test phase, the Bergbahnen Hochötz decided to purchase 5 snow guns of the type 900A from the company SUPERSNOW - in particular the snow quality, throwing distance, maintenance and service friendliness and last but not least the simple, uncomplicated integration into the existing control system, and the price-performance ratio is convincing.
The scope of supply includes four versions to be permanently installed on the ST170 tower, which are mounted on the existing foundations of an old cable car that is to be removed; another machine is used on a mobile basis.
"The company SUPERSNOW would like to thank the management, management and snow-making team of the Bergbahnen Hochötz for the trust they have placed in us and is looking forward to a joint, successful cooperation."
The ski resort of Hochoetz high above the Ötztal Valley is ideal for families with children. Highlights include "Widi" the friendly mascot.
With its blue (easy) and red (intermediate) runs criss-crossing the northern slopes of the Acherkogel mountain, the compact resort of Hochoetz is the perfect destination for all the family. The pistes extend from 1,400m up to almost 2,300m and can be reached by cable car from Oetz in the Ötztal Valley and from Ochsengarten, a village at 1,500m altitude next to the road that leads from Oetz up to Kühtai.
Children will love the local mascot, a friendly ram called "Widi", who will introduce them to skiing in the children's practice area run by the local ski schools. For older children there is a larger funpark near the Balbachsessellift chairlift. Experienced skiers can take on the challenging run all the way down to Ochsengarten as well as the permanently installed race course and the off-piste powder trails.
There are a number of huts and restaurants serving local food, including a self-service children's restaurant next to the top of the Acherkogelbahn cable car with a sunny terrace and a play area. If you ride the Wetterkreuzbahn cable car, don't forget to stop at the "Zugspitzblick" viewing platform with its fabulous vistas reaching as far as the Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak.
Sun-kissed, clearly arranged and very family-friendly: This is how you can describe the Hochoetz Ski Region in a nutshell. The area is one of Austria's 10 sunniest regions with an average of 71 sunshine days per season. "Free and easy" is the motto on the ski lifts and slopes - coupled with attractive skipass offers. The modern Hochoetz panorama restaurant and many cozy mountain huts promise a perfect refreshment stop for all the family. A day in the snow at Hochoetz becomes a truly memorable experience thanks to top sports equipment available at varied rental stations, tailor-made ski course programs of the local snow sports schools and many highlights in the ski area.
