FIS Medical Committee Project Group Meets In Krakow

The Project Group of the FIS Medical Committee convened for a summer meeting in Krakow (POL) on July 27th and 28th. On invitation of the Polish Ski Federation, the meeting has been held at its premises. 

The meeting was attended by Chairman Hubert Hoerterer (GER), Vice-Chairs Inggard Lereim (NOR) and Jenny Shute (GBR), Eero Hyvaerinen (FIN), Henrik Faarup (DEN), Woulter Van Den Broecke (BEL) and Stanislaw Szymanik (POL). 

The main topics of the project group meeting included drafting medical check lists for the various FIS disciplines; review of last season’s injury statistics, as well as making plans for the participation and contribution of the FIS Medical Committee at International Sport Medicine Congresses in 2019.

The FIS Medical Committee would like to express its gratitude to its Polish member Stanislaw Szymanik for organising the meeting, as well as a special thanks to the President of the Polish Ski Federation for the warm hospitality.
