Filzmoos - Leitner's Sixpack Mooslehen Opens

Off to a sixpack in Filzmoos! At the start of the 2021/2022 season, the popular ski area in the heart of the ski amadé has one more attraction: a 6-seater chairlift called sixpack has been built in the past few months. The modern cable car system brings the small but fine ski area at the foot of the Bischofsmütze back on the pulse of the times.

After just six months of construction, the time had finally come: the new 6-seater chairlift called sixpack in Filzmoos was put into operation right on time for the start of the season on December 17th, 2021.

Filzmoos, as part of the Skiwelt Amadé, has a modern facility that more than does justice to the usual high standard of these ski areas. The groundbreaking ceremony on June 22, 2021 marked the start of the small community's future project. It can hardly be overlooked that the Moosleitner family has given the mountain railways new owners and thus a lot of innovative momentum.

The new cable car is definitely the most important private investment in decades and is intended to give the place new, positive impulses in both summer and winter.

Details about the new track

The new 6-person lift takes 2,000 people per hour up the mountain, has a speed of 5.5 meters per second, a sloping length of 1,151 meters, a continuous output of 365 kW and 43 vehicles (= armchairs). The valley station is at 1,057 meters and the new mountain station was built at 1,357 meters. The direction of travel is clockwise, the 6-seater armchairs are equipped with child-proof brackets and a weather protection cover. Thus, the new lift from the manufacturer Leitner corresponds to the standards of the time and brings ski guests much faster and more comfortably up the mountain. The construction is actually a tailor-made concept, as the ropeway technology has been integrated into the architecture.
