Ellis Brigham Launches Mountain Shuttle To Glenshee & Glencoe

A weekend get-away to the Scottish slopes just became easier with the launch of the Ellis Brigham Mountain Shuttle. Setting off from their store at XSITE Braehead, just 4 miles from Glasgow international airport, they will transfer passengers to Glencoe and Glenshee on Saturdays and Sundays until the end of the season (weather permitting). A return costs £25, you’ll be dropped right by the lift and have all day access to your bags.

You can even pre-book freshly serviced skis or boards for £25/day hire. The store is open from 6am to collect and for any last minute needs.

In summary – fly to Glasgow International on a Friday, overnight at the Travelodge at XSITE, pick up your rental equipment from 6am, board the coach at 7am. Enjoy a day on the slopes, leaving around 5pm. Toast your days’ turns in one of the many eating, drinking venues back at XSITE. Repeat.

Just add snow and you’re good to go….

You could also have your boots fettled. Says Mark Brigham of Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports, ‘As soon as France announced that Brits were allowed in, our ski boot appointment bookings page was inundated with people keen to get back onto the snow in customised ski boots. We experienced a number of cancellations back in December as people had their trips cancelled but we are pleased to say people are now voting with their feet and showing us how delighted they are to get back to the UK’s most popular ski destination’

Ellis Brigham started in 1933 in a small shop on Conran Street in Harpurhey, Manchester and quickly established ourselves as the place to visit to have boots expertly made and fitted and to decide on that important personalised nailing pattern! Over the years, Ellis Brigham shops were always first to sell the latest innovations, seeing clothing move from Ventile, to neoprene coated nylon and then to GORE-TEX fabrics. Footwear soon lost the nails and grew Vibram soles whilst leather uppers became suede and nylon and incorporated GORE-TEX liners.

Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports is still going strong and is still proudly family owned. We’ve got the world’s best brands and amazing products that will make your time spent in the mountains even more rewarding.
