Crans Montana Selects Liftopia Cloud Store For Dynamic Pricing & E-Commerce

Liftopia is excited to announce that Crans Montana, a premier resort in the Valais region of Switzerland, will be using Liftopia’s dynamic pricing model and full service e-commerce platform, Cloud Store, next winter to power pre-sales of lift tickets. Crans Montana joins Anzère as the second resort to work with Liftopia from the Magic Pass, the biggest season pass in Switzerland, joining together 30 resorts including Crans Montana, Villars-Gryon, Leysin, Glacier 3000, Grimentz Zinal, Vercorin and recently Leukerbad and Saas-Fee. The Magic Pass Cooperation of resorts recently expanded its relationship with Liftopia, selecting the company as its main dynamic pricing provider.

Employing Liftopia’s proven pricing model used by over 100 ski resorts and attractions around the world, Crans Montana will be able to use real-time demand data to maximize online sales, affording them greater financial and operational predictability. Liftopia first brought its dynamic pricing technology and e-commerce platform to the Alps several seasons ago, and continues to see success and adoption in the region. Liftopia’s initial success partnering with Arosa Lenzerheide (online revenue growth of over 26X) in the European market during winter 2017/2018 has drummed up significant interest from resorts looking to make the shift towards dynamic pricing and increased pre-sales.

“Not only is Liftopia the clear leader in dynamic pricing in North America, their proven success in Europe gives us confidence that they are the best choice for a dynamic pricing partner for Crans Montana,” says Barbara Corman, Sales Manager at Crans Montana Ski Resort.

As Magic Pass resorts look for ways to add to their success alongside the pass, dynamic pricing provides an opportunity to innovate the way they sell their date-specific lift tickets. These resorts have selected Liftopia as a preferred provider and a number of other resorts in the group are expected to join Crans Montana and Anzère on the platform in the coming season.

“Since its inception, the Magic Pass Cooperation has demonstrated innovative and forward thinking in its approach to sales in the Alps. By partnering with Liftopia, an equally innovative company, we can continue successfully to foster this trend” said Sebastien Travelletti, chairman of the board of Télé Anzère and administrator of the Magic Pass.
