Courchevel Hosts The 4th Stage Of Greentech Leaders Tour De France

On January 12 and 13, 2023 public decision-makers, major groups and Greentech companies will meet to discuss the issues and provide solutions to ecological transitions in the mountains: the themes of sustainable mobility, water management, energy, waste, the prevention of natural risks, sustainable buildings and environmental health will be addressed in particular. On the program : round tables, networking, business meetings and pitches from innovative companies.

Stimulate innovative public and private purchasing

The Tour de France of Greentech decision-makers is a multi-year event aimed at bringing together innovative companies, public players and major private accounts. This event was born out of a need raised by the members of the National Network of Greentech Incubators: start-ups and SMEs in the Greentech ecosystem manage to obtain financing, but more difficultly customers. It is broken down into several stages which, around a theme and a location, ensure the promotion of innovative public procurement and collaboration between major private accounts and start-ups. It is an event format in the territories and at the service of the communities, to highlight the actors and the opportunities of the sectors, and to make business meetings.

The fourth stage of this Tour de France is co-organized by the Ecolab of the General Commissariat for Sustainable Development, Green Cross France and Territories, the Town Hall and the Courchevel Tourist Office. It will take place on January 12 and 13, 2023 at the Courchevel Sports Club and will focus on mountain innovation to stimulate ecological transitions.

The program

The mountain, an issue at the heart of the ecological transition

Mountains, according to the IPCC report, are the areas where climate change is most visible and intense, especially since the activities taking place there have an influence on the circulation and water supply of inhabitants and downstream activities. Faced with this major challenge of ecological transition, it is a question of studying all aspects of activity in the mountains. In this context, it is important that researchers, public decision-makers, major private accounts and greentech companies exchange views in order to find appropriate and innovative solutions.

In order to better understand the different facets, a scientific seminar was held on December 9 by GreenCross France and Territories. The conclusions of the scientific symposium will be highlighted during the round tables and interventions that will take place during the stage in Courchevel on January 12 and 13, 2023.

The participants in the Tour de France will thus be able to discuss the issues and prefigure solutions in order to accelerate the ecological transition in the mountains. The round tables and interventions, broadcast live online, will focus on:

  • "The effects of climate change in the mountains: the urgency to act"
  • "Combining economic activities and the preservation of natural mountain environments"
  • “Innovation at the service of building renovation and energy efficiency”
  • "Soft and shared mobility for sustainable travel in the mountains"
  • "Adaptations to climate change in the mountains, the resilience of territories"

Provide solutions for ecological and energy transitions

In parallel with the conferences, decision-makers and large groups will be able to meet innovative companies that meet the challenges of ecological and energy transitions, in particular during networking times. Pitches will also be organized to allow start-ups to present their solutions to investors and public decision-makers. Finally, business meetings  take place online on January 12 and 13 in order to create new contract opportunities, for participants but also for organizations unable to travel to Courchevel.
