Copper Mountain Summer Operations Begin On June 20

The Athlete’s Mountain is gearing up for another action-packed summer season starting Friday, June 20. From outdoor adventures to relaxing mountaintop experiences, Copper offers something for everyone. Whether it’s pushing the limits on over 18 miles of downhill mountain bike trails, dialing in tricks at Copper’s only on-snow summer terrain park or tackling family favorites like the Rocky Mountain Coaster, Copper is built for summer days in motion. A full lineup of events and programming – including free live concerts, guided hikes, yoga sessions and more – adds even more energy and variety to the summer season.

Hours and Operations

Starting June 20, Copper activities will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Resort activities will be based out of Center Village, with the American Eagle chairlift open for scenic rides and bike hauls Friday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

Summer Activity Passes

At Copper Mountain, adventure knows no limits. The Summer Activity Day Pass provides guests with the opportunity to experience a full day of mountain activities. An individual Activity Day Pass is available for $79 and a Family Activity Day Pass for $249, good for a family of four. Each pass includes unlimited access to Bumper Boats on West Lake, Scenic Chairlift Rides and the Wrecktangle ninja course along with three uses on the Bungee Trampoline, one ride on the Rocky Mountain Coaster and one session on the Go-Karts. Events and Programming

Copper Mountain pairs high-alpine adventure with a full lineup of summer programming designed to keep guests moving. Programming will start the first week of summer operations. Weekly favorites like Center Pose Yoga presented by Subaru are offered for free every Saturday and Sunday, inviting guests to stretch and recharge surrounded by mountain views. Also happening on Saturdays and Sundays, Hike with a Ranger outings, hosted in partnership with the Friends of the Dillon Ranger District, offer free guided hikes through Copper’s scenic trails while exploring local wildlife and ecosystems. New this summer, in partnership with Mountain Dreamers, Copper will offer a bilingual hike option during Saturday’s family hike.

The summer event lineup continues with signature free live music events. Red, White & Brews Tunes will kick off the first of many events this season, happening July 4-5 to celebrate Independence Day. Country music takes center stage at Copper Country on August 9. Union Peak Festival, a three-day event filled with free live music, mountain sports and community gatherings, marks the end of the summer season, happening Sept. 5-7. Summer at the Aerie

This summer, the Aerie has a packed lineup of elevated experiences that pair scenic views with mountain-inspired menus. Every Thursday, guests can take advantage of free scenic chairlift rides on the American Eagle lift all day. Then at 3 p.m., they’re invited to stick around at the lodge and enjoy live music and happy hour specials during Après at Aerie. On June 29, July 13, July 27 and Aug. 24, Mountain Mixology invites guests to ride up and sip mountain-inspired cocktails crafted with fresh ingredients while taking in panoramic alpine views. For those looking to elevate their lunch plans, Lift & Lunch includes a scenic lift ride and a meal from the Aerie summer food menu. These experiences combine breathtaking views with exceptional food and drinks, offering a one-of-a-kind way to soak up summer at Copper.

Mountain Biking

Mountain Biking at Copper continues to grow with over 18 miles of curated downhill trails available for riding this summer. With bike haul access on the American Eagle lift, riders can purchase a Mountain Bike Haul Season Pass for $249 or opt for a single-day haul ticket for $49. This summer, intermediate flow trail Gopher It will open with top-to-bottom access for the first time ever. Soil Test, a beginner-friendly green downhill trail, will also debut with top-to-bottom access, offering 4.5 miles of approachable terrain. In addition to these updates, a brand-new advanced downhill trail will open this summer, adding 1.34 miles of fresh, challenging terrain to the network.

New this summer, Woodward Copper is introducing three weekly sessions of Mountain Bike Camp between July 20 and August 8. The overnight, weeklong camp gives campers ages 7 to 17 the chance to learn from expert coaches, enjoy classic summer activities and access the Woodward Barn. Each day will be spent riding Copper’s downhill trails, gaining skills and confidence with every lap. Each session is capped at just 12 campers. Golf at the Copper Creek Golf Course

Starting June 6, hit the links at the Copper Creek Golf course. With a full 18-hole course returning after several were redesigned in previous seasons’, there are a variety of pass options and clinics for guests to take advantage of to improve their game. An Adult Season Pass can be purchased for access to unlimited play for as low as $699 for adults and $99 for kids 15 and under. Daily visitors can opt for a full round of 18 or a quick 9 holes. Golfers can hone their skills with clinics, private or play lessons with course pro, Zach Dobrota. Ladies Clinics are open to women of all ability levels and take place Wednesday evenings, while Short Game Clinics offer a chance to brush up on putting, chipping and pitching. Summer on Snow at Woodward Copper

Stay on snow and continue sharpening skills this summer at the Summer Hike Park in Center Village. Open Fridays–Sundays from June 6 to Sept. 7, conditions permitting, the park features a variety of rail setups for skiers and riders to access for $25 a day, or $199 for a season pass. Don’t miss the summer rail jams on July 5 and Sept. 5, where athletes can compete and show off their skills in the heart of summer.

There is still time to book a week at Woodward Copper Summer Camp. The on-snow camp is the only of its kind in Colorado, offering 10 week-long sessions throughout the summer for kids ages 7-17 and two weeks of adult camp for skiers and riders 18 and older. From May to August, campers benefit from expert coaching and the unique opportunity to train alongside some of the sport’s top professionals, including athletes like Red Gerard, Alex Ferreira, and Tom Wallisch. Beyond the on-snow sessions, campers also have access to the 19,400-square-foot Woodward Copper Barn, packed with trampolines, foam pits, a pump track, skate zones and more. Barn drop-in sessions are available for all guests Fridays through Sundays this summer beginning on June 6.
