Chambery Airport Is Ready For The Winter Season

Ski resorts are opening and Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport is ready to welcome its first passengers for the ski season.
From 15 December 2018, skiers can fly direct to the heart of the French Alps from 8 airports in the UK, with two airlines: British Airways and Flybe.
  • British Airways has flights from London City, London Stansted, and Manchester. The airline has added a new flight from Manchester on Sundays (and is keeping the Saturday flight). From 15 December 2018 to 6 January 2019, British Airways will have a daily flight to Chambéry from London City.
  • Flybe has flights from Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Manchester and Southampton.
Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport always goes the extra mile for its customers.
This winter, the airport has a partnership with Skichic, an online company that allows skiers to hire ski clothes – trousers + jacket + goggles + gloves –then delivers them in resort.
If a bag doesn’t arrive on time, the airport will organise with Skichic to get ski equipment delivered at the passenger’s accommodation straight away.
‘See you later’ is a new service launched by the airport. Any belongings in hand luggage that don’t go through the security check will be posted to the passenger’s home.
‘Security checks can be stressful and having to leave a belonging or losing a luggage can spoil one’s holiday. Thanks to our new services, passengers can fully enjoy their travels and their holidays and therefore make sure to not end their trip with a bad experience’ explains Nicolas Pelerin, director of Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport.
