Bogus Basin Season Pass Sale Benefits Highlight The Area’S Transition To Year-Round Recreation

Bogus Basin announced its 2018-19 season pass prices today, in preparation for the nonprofit recreation area’s annual President’s week season pass sale.  Season passes are available at their lowest prices of the year during the sale, which runs February 19-25.  For the third year in a row, Bogus Basin will keep winter season pass prices the same. This year only, a summer season chairlift pass for hikers and mountain bikers and one-day all access ticket for summer activities will be included with the purchase of a winter season pass.

Increasingly, Bogus Basin is a year round destination for individuals and families seeking fun, accessible outdoor recreation and education.  Last summer, a number of improvements were made in and around the Simplot base area including: an outdoor plaza with seating for 200, new landscaping and acre of lawn, a bike skills park, and the Double R Ranch BBQ Smokehouse, a food and beverage outlet located on the new plaza.  A host of new activities, including Idaho’s only mountain coaster, the Glade Runner, summer tubing, bungee trampoline, and climbing wall were also introduced. “A Bogus Basin season pass remains one of the best values in the country,” said Brad Wilson, General Manager.  “By offering unlimited summer chairlift access for mountain bikers and hikers to our pass holders, we hope to encourage everyone to come up to see the improvements, try out the new activities and enjoy the mountain in all seasons.”

Bogus Basin has also significantly expanded winter benefits for season pass holders. In 2017, Bogus Basin joined the Powder Alliance, providing access to 45 days of free skiing at 16 partner resorts throughout the west and beyond. Other partners include Tamarack Resort, Sun Valley Resort, and Diamond Peak Resort in Lake Tahoe.   To qualify for summer and Powder Alliance benefits, season passes must be purchased during the President’s Week sale.

Bogus Basin, located just 16 miles from Boise, offers 2,600 acres of terrain - more than any other ski area in southern Idaho. An alpine season pass purchase also includes full access to a 37K Nordic trail system. The area also offers night skiing seven days a week until 10:00pm

2018/19 Season Passes will be available at their lowest prices between February 19-25 (see price chart on next page). Purchase online at bogusbasin.org, at the ticket office located at 2600 Bogus Basin Road
