Arosa Opens Unique Padel Pop-Up On Lake Obersee

Padel tennis is one of the fastest-growing trend sports in the world, and Arosa is taking the lead: A unique water-based padel court will open on Lake Arosa in the summer of 2025. This innovative project, realized in collaboration with Padelta, combines dynamic athleticism with the alpine experience of nature.
The court is being built on a specially constructed raft and offers padel sports in a spectacular setting, surrounded by mountains and embedded in a unique mountain panorama. With the padel expertise of Swiss market leader Padelta, Arosa is creating an attractive addition to its traditional summer offerings. At the same time, this innovative holiday destination is setting new standards in active tourism.
As Main Partner, Emmi Schweiz AG, under the Emmi Energy Milk brand, is passionately supporting the project. The leading Swiss milk processor, with a presence in 15 countries, has always been committed to creating enjoyable and active moments in everyday life – with high-quality products. NIVEA SUN is also supporting the project as a Premium Partner, ensuring that everyone can protect themselves with sunscreen on and off the pitch to fully enjoy every moment of sunshine.
The new offering is aimed at locals and visitors alike—whether curious, beginners, or experienced players. Play will run from June 22nd until the end of the summer season on October 19th.
Marion Schmitz, Arosa's Deputy Tourism Director, is looking forward to the new highlight: "With the Padel Pop-Up on Lake Obersee, we are creating a sporting experience that has never existed before. It fits perfectly with our commitment to offering guests surprising and high-quality summer activities – right in the heart of nature and in the heart of Arosa."
