Arc’teryx Continues Bay Area Retail Expansion

Arc’teryx Equipment is opening a new store this week in the open-air shopping destination, The Village at Corte Madera. The location overlooks the Corte Madera Marsh State Park with views of Mount Tam. This Arc’type store, the Arc’teryx newly rebranded concept space, will be centered around the brand’s most renowned designs in outerwear, packs, and climbing gear, as well as hiking and trail running apparel.

“In the heart of Marin County, Corte Madera is home to some of the best trail running, hiking, and mountain biking in the world,”  says Delaney Schweitzer, Chief Commercial Officer, Arc’teryx. “It’s a natural fit to bring this curated selection of the most loved Arc’teryx products to this incredible community, and we look forward to establishing this space as a hub for outdoor events and activities.”

The Arc’type assortment includes Arc’teryx’s very first jacket designed over 20 years ago, the Alpha SV, which is considered the pinnacle of outerwear design. Again in fall 2021, customers will find the brand’s first women’s parka, the Patera Parka, which has sold out every season since it was introduced in 2012. Guests who are new to the brand can quickly get a sense of what makes Arc’teryx a leader in performance outerwear, while returning guests will find their favorite and most celebrated designs easily.

The Corte Madera store will open on October 23rd with grand opening celebrations taking place throughout October. Partnering with Gravity Vault Marin climbing gym, Arc’teryx ambassadors will host clinics for beginner and intermediate climbers. A group run and hike will also be held, with opportunities to win a pair of Norvan LD 2 shoes.
