Alpine Canada Excited To Announce The 50th Anniversary And Relaunch Of The Nancy Greene Ski League

The future of ski racing in Canada is looking bright! Alpine Canada (ACA) and Nancy Greene Raine are pleased to announce that the ski racing legend has given ACA the rights in perpetuity to use her name for the Nancy Greene Ski League. The program has touched thousands of families across Canada and launched the careers of many of Canada’s most successful skiers. 

The Nancy Greene Ski League is a grass roots program for ski racing and has been fundamental to the development of many of Canada’s best skiers including current team members Brady Leman (Ski Cross), Marielle Thompson (Ski Cross) and Ben Thomsen (Alpine).

“Growing up in Calgary, I was excited to join the Nancy Greene Ski League at a young age. I learned to ski race and made friends I still have today,” says 2018 Olympic Gold Medallist, Brady Leman.

The announcement means that the league is able to continue to introduce young skiers to ski racing in a fun and inclusive way. 

“I’ve followed the ski league over the years with great satisfaction,” said Nancy Greene Raine “The original philosophy is still valid today, it’s all about ski racing for the fun of it. Of course, our goal is to create great technical skiers who can shine on the world stage, but more importantly, it is for kids to become passionate skiers for life.”
