A Cure For The Holiday Hangover: Unwind At Sunday River’s First Annual Women’s Retreat

What's the secret to unwinding after the holidays? Treating yourself. This year, Sunday River welcomes women to the inaugural Holiday Hangover Weekend: a women's retreat where you can kick back in your ski boots, sip on your cocoa, and relax.

In partnership with Coalition Snow, a ski and snowboard brand run by women for women, this new event aims to celebrate the end of the holiday season along with the start of a new year. Taking place the weekend of January 4-6, 2019, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an array of activities ranging from yoga classes by Lululemon, a terrain parks class, a sip and shop, and sunrise hike.

"The holiday season can add a lot of stress to someone's plate. This women's retreat on the slopes offers up an opportunity to recharge and to start the New Year on the right note," says Caroline Ochtera, Director of Events for Sunday River.

Packed with relaxation and activity, the Holiday Hangover has options for Mom, Grandma, or your best friend. For some women, their weekend might be spent at the spa enjoying discounted spa services or a peaceful yoga class with a Lululemon ambassador. For others, it could include trying out new skis right out of the Jordan Hotel and enjoying a sunrise hike up the Lollapalooza trail, followed by brunch at the Peak Lodge.

“We are beyond stoked to be partnering with Sunday River on their first women's only retreat,” says Karen Krieger of Coalition Snow. “As a company of women who make high-grade, professional snow sports equipment for women, we look forward to celebrating the vibrant community of female skiers and riders at this event.”

Ladies can participate in the Holiday Hangover for $369, based on a double occupancy rate. For season pass holders this package can be bought for $219. Pricing does not include tax and gratuities.
