Saalbach Hinterglemm Records Best Start To Summer Season Ever

Saalbach Hinterglemm had a record-breaking start to the season in the first two months of the 2025 summer season: a total of 162,094 overnight stays were recorded in May and June – the best figure since records began.

This outstanding figure confirms the region's continuous growth and increasing popularity among domestic and international guests. The diverse outdoor activities and excellent infrastructure, in particular, offer an unforgettable holiday experience. Well-prepared hotels and hosts, as well as innovative offers for families, athletes, and leisure travelers, have also contributed to this success.

"We are thrilled with this sensational start to the season and see it as confirmation of the high quality and diversity of our offerings. Saalbach Hinterglemm has developed into a leading holiday region in recent years, attracting increasing numbers of visitors both in winter and summer," says a delighted Wolfgang Breitfuß, Managing Director of the Saalbach Hinterglemm Tourism Association.

The region is looking forward to the remaining summer months with great confidence. Event highlights such as the GlemmRide Bike Festival in July, the Hinterglemm Farmers' Market in August, and the 26th World Games of Mountain Biking in September attract numerous visitors to the region. Bikers can also look forward to varied trails with the new Thurner Line on the Kohlmais and the new 12-person Sky Line on the Zwölferkogel. Families can look forward to Montelinos Erlebnisalm, which was officially opened in June together with the Home of Lässig Adventure Golf.

The region kicks off the fall season with the Saalbach Schmankerlherbst in mid-September. Cable cars in Saalbach Hinterglemm operate daily until October 26th.
