SMITH Earns 2024 Women In Manufacturing Awards
SMITH – global market leader in snow goggles and helmets and industry innovator across bike helmets, sport, lifestyle, and prescription eyewear – is pleased to share two of its employees have earned the 2024 Women in Manufacturing Award from the Utah Manufacturers Association (UMA).

Based out of SMITH’s Clearfield, Utah goggle manufacturing and eyewear lab facility, Amanda Parizo, RX Operations Manager and Vicki Denter, Production Manager, have each exemplified standards of excellence within the company and for other women in the field.
Parizo, who has centered her career in the optical industry and with SMITH for the past four years, is recognized for creating an environment for her team that embodies development, growth and opportunity. She not only shows consistent exceptional leadership but exemplifies the qualities of resilience, determination, and vision.
A valuable member of the SMITH MFG team, Denter has been with the company for close to 25 years, and continues to help build and foster a diverse, robust production team that in recent months has hit some of the highest productivity and efficiency rates on record.
“SMITH has an incredible group of women on the leadership team at MFG, including Amanda and Vicki, whom I’m proud to have nominated for their contributions to the company and their community,” said Leann Bice, Director of North American Manufacturing for SMITH. “I’ve worked alongside both women for the past three years and can attest to their exceptional leadership as Women in Manufacturing. Additionally, we’re fortunate to have Mirriam Stewart, HR Manager at SMITH MFG, support us the over the last year and half in building upon company culture and reduced turnover,” she continued.
The UMA is a non-profit that supports and connects over 800 companies and services operating within Utah and hosts an annual awards ceremony to recognize the outstanding individuals and companies who grow the community through their contributions in the workplace.
