The Magic Of Colors Is At Its Peak All Over Quebec As It Prepares For The Ski Season

The arrival of cool weather and fall will thrill the hearts of skiers and snowboarders, since ski resorts are opening their doors to celebrate fall and its blaze of colors. Festivals, used equipment bazaars, entertainment at the bottom of the slopes, tasting of local products in addition to outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain biking, will delight young and old alike during a visit to the mountains.

An activity for all ages

The contemplation of the panoramas is not reserved only for people in great shape who can hike to the top of the mountains, think again. The ski resorts offer chairlift access to the tops of the mountains in the blink of an eye and with very little physical effort. It's the first time? The chairlift attendants are happy to help anyone who is not comfortable with taking the lifts, so that boarding and disembarking go smoothly. Thus, young children and the elderly can go to the top of the mountain in complete safety and enjoy the flamboyant landscapes that Mother Nature offers us.

Ski resorts are a real engine of winter regional economic activity offering a variety of job opportunities. The positions to be filled are numerous, diverse, and each more exciting than the next. For the most curious, the Association des stations de ski du Québec will present the various mountain trades during the National Job Fair to be held at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal on October 13 and 14.

Founded in 1979, the ASSQ is a non-profit organization bringing together all the ski resorts in Quebec. Its mission is to promote and defend the interests of the resorts, to encourage the development of the next generation and to support the industry in order to offer skiers and snowboarders memorable mountain experiences. Alpine skiing and snowboarding are practiced by approximately 1.4 million Quebecers.
