OIA Conference 2022, Lisa Yamai, Snow Peak President Announced As Headline Speaker

The OIA is pleased and privelaged to announce LISA YAMAI, President of Snow Peak will be flying in from Japan to present at the OIA Conference on the 7th September.

Lisa Yamai, has been President of Snow Peak Japan since March 2020. The granddaughter of Snow Peak founder Yukio Yamai, Lisa is the third generation to lead the company and for a short time became the youngest person to lead a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. She has also recently become a board member for Suzuki.

Lisa comes from a long line of pioneering outdoor enthusiasts. After graduating from Bunka Fashion Graduate University, in Tokyo, Lisa joined Snow Peak to help pivot the brand for a new generation.

Lisa will talk through Snow Peak’s mission as an outdoor lifestyle creator and shares their rich history. Providing insight into the innovations they are making in recycling, sustainability and the driving force behind those changes, namely creating a new outdoor culture that can exist in harmony with nature. 

As the granddaughter of Snow Peak’s founder Yukio, and daughter to current president Toru, Lisa Yamai comes from a long line of pioneering outdoor enthusiasts. After graduating from Bunka Fashion Graduate University, in Tokyo, Lisa joined Snow Peak to help pivot the brand for a new generation.

Launching Snow Peak Apparel in 2014 came with praise from a variety of fashion insiders and continues to increase in notoriety each season. In 2015 Snow Peak opened two stores in the fashion districts of Tokyo and New York City which solidified Lisa’s vision for Snow Peak’s evolution. 

Each year, Lisa designs two collections that feature materials and styles to fit the seasons. Her Spring Summer collection features lightweight breathable materials which embody the spirit of wanderlust and travel. Lisa's Fall Winter collection boasts warm insulated materials more suited for cold weather adventures in both urban and natural environments.
