The Shores at Breckenridge - the luxury paired and single-family home community on the Blue River - has begun 2018 on a high note with nine new starts already planned, equal to last year's record community starts.

And sales are robust as well. In total more than half of the homes being built - 23 out of 40 - have either closed or are currently under contract.

"The inventory in Summit County is at record lows, which has bolstered demand for these homes," said Noah Hahn, managing partner of Boulder-based Meriwether Properties that has partnered with San Diego's Pathfinder Partners to develop the community. "Buyers are clearly still very interested in high-end first and second homes in this beautiful, waterfront region."

The three-bedroom homes have been designed as both full-time and seasonal residences and feature open floor plans with expansive views of the Breckenridge Ski Resort, the Blue River and surrounding open space.
