New Routes For Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc Airport
After a very successful season last winter, Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc Airport is pleased to announce another new route from the UK
Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc is ideally located in the heart of the French Alps and is the easiest gateway to France’s most popular ski resorts: Paradiski, 3 Vallées, Tignes, Val d’Isère and many more.
Last year, the terminal was completely renovated and re-designed to provide a better experience to its clients and manage passenger flows. The airport also improved the quality of service provided to passengers.
Its modest size, with modern facilities and its experience in the ski industry make it the most suitable airport for winter sports enthusiasts.
‘Last season was a great success for passengers’ satisfaction. Our customers really appreciated our renovation works, new signage and tools to improve their experience in our airport. We are the first step of their holidays!’ says Nicolas Pelerin, the director of the airport.
The British market is extremely important for the airport: last year, 86% of the total clientele was British.
There are now direct flights to Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport from 8 airports in the UK, with two airlines: British Airways and Fly Be. British Airways has flights from London City, London Stansted, and new for this winter, Manchester.
Luke Hayhoe, British Airways’ general manager customer and commercial, says: ‘After a successful winter season in 2016-17 and an increased number of passengers and satisfaction at Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport, we have decided to continue and raise our leisure flying with direct services to one of the most popular winter break destinations in France’.
Flybe has flights from Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Manchester and Southampton.
Independent travellers can easily book transfers from the airport to resorts in the Tarentaise and Maurienne Valleys. The timetables are coordinated with the scheduled flight departure and arrival times so waiting time at the airport is kept to a minimum.
