Warren Smith Ski Academy Launches Remote Coaching Program

Warren Smith Ski Academy has launched a remote coaching program.

Warren will be presenting a series of webinars live from Verbier talking about what keen skiers can be working on from home to continue to develop their skiing technique and ski biomechanics as well as ski equipment checks. The first webinar/Facebook live event will launch early next week.

Skiers are encouraged now to ‘like’ the WSSA Facebook page or email the team for inclusion on the invite list, with updates starting this weekend.

Warren Smith, said: “The ski season ending doesn’t mean we have to stop our progression and improvement. In this period of self-isolation, social distancing and general lack of mountain time, we are fully aware that people are feeling the effects of not skiing. Trust us. We feel the same! So, during this time, we want to keep people engaged and motivated to continue their ski technique development by offering our services through our Remote Coaching Program”.

Originally scheduled for an October 2020 release, in light of recent events the program has been brought forward along with individual packages that will help skiers through these difficult times. This is not the finished subscription-based product but it will be full of helpful content and advice that will help skiers through this period.

Warren is encouraging skiers to email into the Academy, asking: “Do you have any specific areas that you would like to work on or is there one thing that you’re aware of that is constantly a problem and limiting your progression? Are you keen to dive into our Ski Technique Lab and work on some dry land exercises at home that could help to unlock the blocks that are restricting particular ranges of movement? Are you unsure if your ski boots are set up correctly for you and flex in a way that is in line with your body weight and technical level? If so the Academy can help. We will be broadcasting to you and you can contact us in various ways and receive individually catered feedback with our remote coaching”.
