Double Hattrick For Isbjorn. Penguin Snowsuit Wins Prestigious Test Award For Sixth Consecutive Time

Sustainable children’s outdoor clothing and accessories manufacturer Isbjörn of Sweden is once again celebrating, after being awarded the coveted Bäst-i-Test for its best-selling Penguin Snowsuit, in the Premium category, for a record sixth time.

The popular field test, conducted by the Scandinavian Online Test Institute Bäst-i-Test (Best in Test), saw various winter jumpsuits tested over a three-month period, at a forest school day-care centre, during the long and hard winter season in Sweden. The products were rigorously used in all weathers and outdoor activities, on a daily basis with repeated washing and tumble drying.

Penguin Snowsuit scored 10 out of 10 points for longevity, outstanding functions, quality and comfort - thus proving it is the perfect choice for keeping children dry and thermally balanced in cold winter conditions.

Staff and parents from the Bäst-i-Test real life 3-month test collectively commented: “This tough yet sustainable snowsuit continues to impress, standing up to all kinds of winter weather, keeping every single drop of rain and snow out. The durability is absolutely top notch and not even a small thread came loose. There is absolutely no compromise on thermal performance even though Penguin delivers excellent breathability as well as waterproofness, offering children optimal comfort during all outdoor adventures.”

The testers continued: “The environmental footprint of the snowsuit is also superb and garment longevity guarantees good value for money.  Not only to does Isbjörn use the highest performing bluesign approved materials, it also offers features such as grow cuffs to extend usage before it can be passed to younger friends and family members.”

Maria Frykman Forsberg, CEO of Isbjörn of Sweden, commented: “Once again our passionate team is celebrating this prestigious award for our popular Penguin Snowsuit. For more than 15 years, we have always produced the most sustainable outdoor clothing we can, without compromising performance. Our Green Promise will continue for many years to come as we equip the outdoor adventurers of tomorrow.”

The award comes as Isbjörn gets ready to launch five new colours of Penguin Snowsuit, which is insulated with PrimaLoft Eco and has a Bionic Finish Eco fluorocarbon-free DWR, for Autumn/Winter 2019 season. Isbjörn will also debuting its new brand logo for the first time from September.
