Jasna Adventures Launches New 2018-19 Winter Season Program

Jasna Adventures, the tour operator based in the Slovak ski resort of Jasna that specialises in hosting UK guests, has launched its new winter program for the 2018-19 season.

Jasna, in the Tatra Mountains of Slovakia, is rapidly becoming known as a destination for families, skiers of all standards, freeride enthusiasts and those looking for good value for money without compromising on quality. Its modern lift system and varied terrain make it the premier ski resort of the region.

It includes more capacity for peak season weeks following increased demand and enhanced services in their own chalet, The Dragon’s Lair.

Architecturally designed and purpose built, the chalet is based on the best of accommodation from Justin and Adriana’s holidays around the world.  It offers unique style of accommodation for Jasna, suiting discerning British holiday makers looking for great value ski chalet holidays.

The chalet has five rooms all with private bathroom, and offers doubles, twins, triple and family rooms for groups up to 19 people.

Set in the valley below Jasna, just 8 minutes via the chalet’s own shuttle van to the bottom lifts, guests enjoy all they need within the comfort of the chalet.  Services and facilities include full-time chalet host, lounge with fireplace, private wellness with outdoor Jacuzzi, sauna, in-house ski hire and downstairs a full public bar serving drinks and food.  Massages and yoga sessions are available.

The standard board is B&B, but half broad is available for whole chalet groups.  The Whole Chalet is offered during periods (Christmas/New Year, Half Term Holidays), with individual rooms available outside peak season.

The resort of Jasna itself boasts a long ski season and a reliable snow record with bookings starting in mid-December and running through until the middle of April. Its location, within a forty minute drive of Poprad Airport, makes it ideal for shorter breaks or families looking for shorter transfer times and the destination provides excellent value for money.

For this winter, The Dragon’s Lair will offer their own in-house ski and snowboard hire with free equipment for children under the age of 12 when guests book the whole chalet. Hosts, Justin Garrett – originally from Australia, and Adriana Garrett, from Slovakia along with their chalet staff are on-hand at all times.  They also run the popular chalet bar, opened last winter that provides live music, local beers and its already famous chicken wings to guests and members of the public.

Justin Garrett said: “Jasna is definitely gaining a reputation for providing quality skiing and up-market winter holiday experiences but at prices considerably lower than most resorts in the Alps. We get reliable snow conditions here too because of our positioning further east and north, so our winter starts early and runs longer, with snow right down to the lower altitudes below the resort”.
